Hi friends—it’s been a while since I last posted, my apologies! Nothing substantially amazing has happened in my life the past week and a half, aka not too much to update on, but I thought I’d share with you all what I wore today plus some of the music I’ve been listening to all week!
We are 24 days into the new year and thus far I have only bought 3 new pieces of clothing, which honestly for me is doing pretty well. Two of them I decided to wear today—black and white printed pants from Zara as well as a faux shearling jacket from Nordstrom.
Because the pants are high waisted AND printed, I paired my snake belt with this ensemble to help take a break from the pattern and bring back a bit of my torso.
I also need to appreciate how well my Chloé Drew pairs as the perfect bag, making it my 70s inspired outfit of dreams.
Although I was born in 1996, the late 60s/early 70s era continues to fascinate and inspire me (as well as many others) through their music and fashion choices. In fact, something a lot of people don’t know about me is that one of my favorite bands is Fleetwood Mac—while I regularly listen to The Smiths (who are actually the 80s) David Bowie, The Zombies, Abba, The Rolling Stones etc.
The songs I’ve had on repeat this past week include:
Oh Diane – Fleetwood Mac
Bennie and the Jets – Elton John
Please, Please, Please/Let Me Get What I Want – The Smiths
Rich Girl – Daryl Hall
Wild Horses – The Rolling Stones
Heroes – David Bowie
My Sweet Lord – George Harrison
Can’t Nobody Love You – The Zombies
This Charming Man – The Smiths
Rocket Man – Elton John
Gypsy – Fleetwood Mac
Sara – Fleetwood Mac
…Just to name a few!
Of course, most of you who regularly read my blog know my favorite band at the moment is The 1975, who by the way, has their ticket presale tomorrow morning which I’m soooooo nervous about. Wish me luck with scoring amazing seats!
I wish you all a wonderful rest of your week and thanks for tuning in! xx
